Family Sponsorship & Tourist
1. Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)
A points-based visa for skilled workers who are not sponsored by an employer, state, or family member. Allows you to live and work permanently anywhere in Australia.
2. Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)
For skilled workers nominated by an Australian state or territory government. Provides permanent residency and requires commitment to live in the nominating state.
3. Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491)
A temporary visa for skilled workers who want to live and work in regional Australia. Offers a pathway to permanent residency through the Subclass 191 visa after meeting specific requirements.
4. Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186)
Allows Australian employers to sponsor skilled workers for permanent residency. Suitable for those with relevant qualifications and work experience.
5. Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Subclass 187) (now replaced by Subclass 494)
Previously used for regional employer-sponsored migration. It has been replaced by the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 494), which leads to PR through Subclass 191.
6. Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (Subclass 482)
Not a PR visa, but a common pathway to permanent residency. Allows employers to sponsor foreign workers in occupations facing skill shortages.
