Residency pathway for people with skills, qualifications, and work experience that are in demand in the country. You need a job offer or skilled employment in New Zealand, meet health, character, and English requirements, and score at least 6 points based on your qualifications, work experience, occupational registration, or income level.

This pathway lets international students who complete eligible qualifications in New Zealand transition from a student visa to a work visa, and eventually to residence. It’s designed to retain skilled graduates who can contribute to the local economy.
